Education required for an Anesthesiologist Assistant

 

One cannot have an anesthesiologist assistant without a premedical background in their bachelors as well as baccalaureate degree. They must have a premedical degree, with course combination of biology, physics, chemistry and math. These are the requirements one must have in order to qualify to enroll for Anesthesiologist Assistants degree itself. After having a degree in these courses in their pre meds, a student can now enroll in a master’s degree or Anesthesiologist Assistant’s degree from any accredited college or institution to qualify as an Anesthesiologist Assistant. The master’s degree or the Anesthesiologist Assistant degree extends to 27 months to the maximum. But, a student does not qualify as an Anesthesiologist Assistant right after the completion of the course, he has to sit for the certification examination and get state certification in order to practice as an Anesthesiologist Assistant professionally.
